Socheatta Meng

Socheatta Meng is the director of the Southeast Asian Defense Project. She and her family arrived to the U.S. as refugees from Cambodia in the early 1980s. Socheatta is a policy advocate with experience working on immigration, economic justice, and human rights issues. She previously worked at the New York City Council, Community Food Advocates, and the New York Civil Liberties Union. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago, King's College London, and Brooklyn Law School.
